"Efforts would be undertaken to
encourage more buildings to use
the low energy office concept, where
the premium is on saving energy."

Strategy to counter oil price spiral
The LEO building is the first government building to be built
with integrated energy efficient design. It was designed as
a showcase building to demonstrate energy efficient and cost
effective features so that oter public and private sector
buildings can replicate such measures
It was targeted to achieve a building energy index (BEI) of
100kWh/m2 per year and energy savings of more than 50% compared
to buildings without energy efficient design.
